GE rolls out pink and black H855 digital cameras

From the looks of it, the cameras also look to be somewhat of an improvement over previous models, with them boasting a full 8 megapixels, a 5x optical zoom, a 3-inch LCD screen, and a 28-mm equivalent wide-angle lens. Unlike some other similarly charitable-minded products, you apparently won't have to buy the pink version to see your money put to good use, with a black model also available for those that prefer to keep things a little more discreet.

GE H855 digital camera to fight breast cancer : General Imaging, the worldwide exclusive licensee for GE digital cameras, has announced a partnership with multichannel retailer HSN that will let consumers join in their effort to fight for breast cancer. HSN will offer a limited-edition GE camera during October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A permanent pink ribbon adorns the highly polished aluminum face of the camera to signify General Imaging’s commitment to the fight against breast cancer. The GE H855 will be offered exclusively by HSN during an Oct. 20 broadcast - and also online. For every unit sold, HSN will donate a portion of proceeds to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
